Hope For All
As a church we are committed to serving our local community, which we’ve been doing consistently for almost 150 years. To develop further our community work, the church has recently decided to set up a new charity – Crossway Community Projects – to enable us to serve our community more effectively and work with a range of partner organisations and external funders to achieve this. We will be developing a range of new projects over the coming months, including some new community-based youth work. For more information about the new community projects charity, please click here.
In addition to these new initiatives, the church also runs/partners with two other community projects:
Community food bank
The community food bank is our way of supporting local people who may be homeless and/or have no money to buy food. Each autumn we receive generous gifts of tinned food from other local churches and school particularly from harvest festival celebrations. We keep these in a dedicated storeroom and distribute them over the course of the year to individuals as they have need.
The Robes Project
A homeless shelter opening for three months of the year, providing a bed for the night and tasty homemade meals. For more info, please see Robes.
