Getting involved

Being part of any community is about getting involved and churches are no exception. Getting involved will mean you get the most out of church life and deepen your own relationship with God and other people as a result.

There are lots of ways to get involved in the life of the church here at Crossway. If you're new to the church or have yet to make good connections we suggest come along to a Sunday morning service or call us for a chat beforehand. Getting involved in mid-week activities or volunteering your time with one of the community projects we run are also great ways to make connections and get involved.

As a growing church we want to develop activities that meet the needs of everyone that is part of the church. We also want to give everyone opportunities to play their part either through joining in with existing activities or perhaps starting new ones. We are open to new ideas, so please let us know how you would like to get more involved.

Volunteer with us

We’re always keen to encourage people to volunteer their time and skills to help the church as it grows and develops. Some specific volunteering opportunities include: youth and children’s work, community projects, fundraising, IT, music, project management, sound technology and welcome team. We are also very open to new ideas, so if there are ways you would like to get involved in the church in some other way, please do let us know.

Church Development Workers (Student Team)

Each year we employ a team of university students to work as outreach and development workers for the church. We tend to recruit this team at the start of the academic year in September/October. The work includes helping with youth and children’s activities, participating in Sunday morning services, organising social activities and outreach events, creating publicity, etc. For more info, please email Tim Reith at tim@crosswaychurch.org.uk.
